I WONDER WHY

 Like the sunset in the evening.  

 The moonlight across the seas,

Your eyes light up my life,

Like the stars in the midnight sky.

And I’ve been wondering why?

People keep on passing you on by,

Missing out all together, on such beauty,

Never stoping to wonder,

Never stepping back to see,

 Missing out altogether,

On life simplicities,

A simple flower,

This Robin in his tree,

Holding so much beauty

For all to see,

Like the sunset in the evening,

I am so honoured to have you here,

 By my side,

And like the stars

In the midnight sky,

You always guide me home

To your loving side,

Like the stars in the midnight sky,

You mean a million things to me,

You surely have the key,

This breeze in the heat wave,

A crisp winter's chill,

You are as refreshing

Like a writer with a quill,

A little old fashion,

Yet still within the times,

Like a bottle of old vintage wine,

To be sipped and to be savoured

 Throughout its life,

Yet I still wonder why,

So many people

Just pass you on by

The Time of Love

I fell in love with you
A long time ago
And once you love like this
You can never let go

I need you now like
I like needed you then
I will keep on dreaming

Many years have passed now
Since I last saw you
On this day I find myself
Looking at you once again

It was from that first time
That I saw you

There are so many to admire

 This poem is the first one That I eve composed when I was 13 years old
  And it is one of my mum's favourites

My sunsets

Obstructions

It started out good at first

Listening to each other’s words

But then we hit a ditch

And it all broke out

All these feelings

We have buried for year

The obstructions were

On your side of the road

Maybe you should learn

To read your highway code

You need to be reading these signs

Don’t you know this is a

A tow way street

And you don’t always

Have the right of way

Better be backing it up

A little before you find it’s too late

The obstructions you

Just ignored you carried on

Down that one way street

Of yours

Then wondered why

 I went to the nearest exit

You turned around

And I was gone

Butterfly

I ones did see a butterfly sing
Through a dance of colour
As it fluttered its wings
The notes it did bring
Made me all a shiver


As the sun light rose
Upon this rose
I could see my life so much clearer
Through the rain drops that fell to ground
I knew then, this day was over


The butterfly did say-hi
The flew away to the next flower
Made my life so sweet
Little butterfly was so unique
I’d like to thank you for such a display of colour
And the music that you did play
Will now stay with me forever

Separate rooms with separate TV’s
Set apart this family
Tow people in there home
Yet they’re all alone

My Life - My Days

All through my life, all through my days
I find myself still quite amazed,
For whenever I have split
With some love or so
All my friends, there’s no surprise
They all come out with the same old lines.

Like it was just not meant to be
Or there’s plenty of fish left in the sea
Time is a great healer
You will see
That I’m better off without
Come on now seriously.

All of this drives me insane
Old wives tales are part to blame
And cliché are as guilty as hell
All of this reminds me of you
And these things they say
Just drive me insane
Like today

When everyone keeps telling me
There’s plenty of fish in the sea
Yet they fail to say the trawlers
Been past previously
Some slip through the nets
And some are just a gull main course
